Anatomical structures such as Vessels, Tumors (soft tissue) are difficult to visualize by conventional set of 2D DICOM images.
Thus there is a need for creation of 3D virtual models from DICOM files.
3D virtual models can be used for 3D simulation. It helps the surgeon in the planning of surgery as it directly improves the productivity of surgeons.
3D simulation can be used by researchers for establishing the relation between simulation results and clinical trials.
